This year will be another great Mc'Donalds All American game. With great players like Brandon Knight, Harrison Barnes, and who can forget about Josh Selby this will be fun to watch, but there are some deserving players who didn't make it.
Will Barton out of Baltimore is not on the team which is a surprise. He is one of the best shooting guards in the country if not the best and will most likely be a big impact next year.
Tony Mitchell at #16 also didn't make it. He is one of the best in the country and outstanding athlete. He can also handle the ball well. Missouri will love this kid.
Adreian Payne is also a big surprise to me. I would've thought he made it. It's in his home state and he the second best player they have. He's a nice shot blocker and rebounder. He needs to add wieght but will be good at the nenext level.
How do you feel About The Teams?

Illegal workouts for big-name college coaches ... secret videotapes made by former state troopers turned undercover private investigators (we've got it below) ... complaints about illegal recruiting from a former NBA player with a checkered past ... fiery speeches, threats of lawsuits and name-calling that includes the use of "fascist" and "terrorist" ... all in the name of high school basketball.
As expected, Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick was officially banned from this year's New Jersey state basketball tournament and put on two years probation Friday by its state association.
NJ Hoops
Kyrie Irving will not get to defend the Tournament of Champions title.
Head coach Kevin Boyle, found guilty of holding illegal preseason workouts - so his players could be seen by college coaches - was suspended for three games.
Both decisions were handed down by the Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association in a meeting in Robbinsville, N.J.
The action, however, is just getting going. What happens next is a bit murky.
Boyle will be allowed to coach this weekend when his team, No. 14 in the latest RivalsHigh Hoops 100, meets No. 11 Mouth of River (Va.) Oak Hill on Friday (a 79-78 loss) and No. 23 New York (N.Y.) Rice on Saturday in the Prime Time shootout.
Boyle's suspension will begin next week. He may, in fact, be able to return in time for the final of the school's county tournament - a big deal in New Jersey. Having to give the sanctioned Boyle and his team the trophy is a possibility county officials already are fearing.
St. Patrick, however, will not be able to compete in the ESPN national tournament since it is not in good standing with the NJSIAA.
"Before we will even approach a school we have to know that the state association or the governing body will allow them to play in the games," ESPN spokesman Crystal Howard said. "If they don't say that schools in their governance could play in our games, we won't even consider going against those rulings and actually select or invite."
And St. Patrick principal Joe Picaro said the school has no intention of leaving the NJSIAA and becoming an independent, joining the likes of Oak Hill and nearby Newark (N.J.) St. Benedict's Prep, No. 5 in the latest RivalsHigh poll.

- If the St. Patrick’s Celtics from Elizabeth, N.J. was distracted over possible expulsion from its state boys basketball tournament, they sure didn’t play like it.
If they were trying to make a statement with a resounding 91-64 win over nationally-ranked Taft (Woodlands Hills, Calif.) in the final game of the Nike Extravaganza Saturday night, they sure weren’t talking about it.

Michael Gilchrist goes baseline en route to two more. The Celtics, No. 11 in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 national rankings, improved to 17-2 with a resounding and impressive victory by outscoring the No. 24 team in the country 32-14 in the third quarter.

Huntington Prep senior wing Justin Coleman has committed to play basketball at the University of Louisville, giving the coaching staff the word Friday afternoon.
"They showed me the most interest and have been recruiting me for a while," Coleman told The Courier-Journal. "Coach (Rick) Pitino gets players to the league and they have some spots open at my position next year, so I can come in and play."
The 6-foot-4 Coleman said he also had offers from South Florida, Kentucky, Providence and Arkansas have all offered. He's originally from Richmond, Va., and is considered a top-25 prospect.
Coleman is still not academically eligible but said he was "really close."

The scoring sensation also has a chance to make history this season.
Thomas is within striking distance of the hallowed Indiana state record for career points (3,134) held by 1990 ESPN RISE Mr. Basketball USA winner Damon Bailey of Bedford North Lawrence (Bedford, Ind.). Thomas enters Friday's content against rival Wayne (Fort Wayne, Ind.) with 2,796 points.
"I've never met him," said Thomas about Bailey. "I've heard good things about him and know he was more than just a good shooter. It'd be cool if he showed up at one of the games and supported me, stuff like that. I'd like to get to meet him as I get closer to the record."
Rated the nation's No. 12 recruit in the ESPNU 100, the Ohio State-bound Thomas downplays his individual achievements. However, Thomas' coaches, teammates and fans are keenly aware of the situation.
"I've talked to Deshaun about it, but he's the last guy that talks about all that stuff," said Bishop Luers assistant coach Mitch Sturm. "It's everyone else that reminds him. Everywhere he goes, Ohio State fans and our fans are like, 'You got to get that (scoring) record.' If he doesn't get the record, he won't be devastated because he's a team-first guy."
Thomas has been amazingly consistent in his four-year prep career, averaging between 21.3 and 21.5 shots per game in his first three seasons, according to Sturm. This season, he's taking approximately 22.8 shots per game. Sturm feels there are aspects of Thomas' game that are underrated and will blossom once he gets to Columbus.
"His assists numbers are lower than they should be," Sturm said. "He's a much better passer than people think. That's not demeaning our players, but at the next level he'll be playing with guys that are all threats (to score)."
Sturm also said Thomas' teammates don't mind the big man in campus getting most of the attention and accolades.
"When we played (ESPN RISE FAB 50 No. 1) Northland (an 88-67 loss), we were clearly in over our heads," Sturm said. "Our guys take losing hard, but in that game, they put Deshaun in a position to shine. They won't come out and admit it, but I guarantee that was their goal. They did it because he's such a good teammate."

Club teammates turn prep foes
They were teammates on the summer circuit but never met during the high school season. They are a pair of players who are prolific scorers and two of the nation's top players in their respective classes.

Brandon Knight should make a major impact no matter where he ends up.
They have raised the awareness of Florida prep basketball, taking their games to the highest levels. Senior Brandon Knight (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Pine Crest) and junior Austin Rivers (Winter Park, Fla.) will finally face off in the regular season Friday on ESPN2, tipping off at 7 p.m. ET.
The Pine Crest-Winter Park matchup highlights a nationally televised doubleheader from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. In the opener, Montverde Academy plays Sagemont School (Weston) at 5 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
"Florida is known as a football state, but we like to [show] there's a lot of good basketball players here," said Winter Park coach David Bailey, whose team is 20-4 heading into Tuesday's Class 6A, District 4 quarterfinal game vs. Eastridge (Orlando). "People will see two of the nation's best players are from Florida. We're excited about the game," he said.
Bailey's teams are no stranger to ESPN, having appeared twice, most recently in December during the finals of the City of Palms Classic from Fort Myers, Fla.
The Old Spice High School Showcase, a series of 14 regular-season games, closes this weekend with a flurry. The ESPN family of networks will televise three games from Florida and Indiana, featuring top teams and players that will likely become household names.
Though many are intrigued by the player matchup, the burning question is where Pine Crest's Knight, the reigning Gatorade National Player of the Year, will attend college. He has narrowed his choices to Florida, Miami, Syracuse, Connecticut, Kentucky and Kansas.
"Knowing Brandon and how he operates, it'll be a methodical process; he'll probably announce soon after the season," Pine Crest coach David Beckerman said.
Rivers, a 6-foot-3 guard who averages 24 points, has verbally committed to Florida but hasn't ruled out other schools, most notably Duke. "Things could change; nothing is done until you sign the national letter," he said.
Knight and Rivers (No. 2 in ESPNU Super 60) played for Each One Teach One, a Central Florida club team. Rivers figures he'll guard his friend throughout the game.
"You can't guard him the whole game or you'll be exhausted," Rivers said. "I'm the best person to guard him, especially in the fourth quarter when the game could be on the line."
How will Rivers defend Knight, who is closing in on Broward County's all-time scoring mark?
"He's an aggressive player and a scorer," Rivers said. "He likes to attack the glass and steps out to shoot the 3-ball."
Knight has scored more than 3,300 career points, averaging 32 points, and has knocked down 86 3s this season. Pine Crest (19-3) enters Friday's game having dropped a buzzer-beating 63-62 decision to Florida Air Academy, snapping a 30-game home win streak. Knight had 42 points with four 3-pointers.
"[He] wasn't really on that night" said Beckerman of Knight, who sank 18 of 20 free throws. "Brandon scored, but no one else stepped up; we need more contributions."
That's not the case with Winter Park, Florida's top-ranked 6A team and the favorite to capture a state title in March.
The Wildcats are far from a one-man show.
At 6-9, Adam Jones is nearly averaging a double-double (10 points, nine rebounds and four blocks). The defensive stopper signed with Fairfield over Tulane, George Mason and Iona.
"This will be a high-intensity game," Jones said. "This will give us a great test before the districts and gets us exposure to big crowds which we'll see this month."
Brett Comer, a 6-2 junior, is headed to Florida Atlantic. He contributes 12 points and four assists per game. Six-foot-7 forward Robert Lovaglio (12 points, eight rebounds) is getting several Division II looks. Isaac Turner, a 6-1 senior, rounds out the lineup.
Lovaglio is the "X factor," says Rivers.
